By country of origin the largest suppliers were Norway (63.4 Mt), United States (60.0 Mt), Kazakhstan (58.0 Mt), Libya (42.4 Mt), Saudi Arabia (30.3 Mt). It also imported 107.3 Mt of oil products, credited to the last shipping country: United States (20.9 Mt), United Kingdom (15.9 Mt), Saudi Arabia (11.0 Mt), Kuwait (8.9 Mt), Algeria (6.5 Mt). In the latest month, Jun 2026, extra-EU crude imports were 36 889 thousand tonnes, led by United States (7 124 kt), Kazakhstan (4 907 kt), Norway (4 345 kt). Russian crude imports into the EU fell from 112.5 Mt in 2021 to 9.2 Mt in 2025, mostly pipeline crude exempt from the 2022 embargo. Kazakh crude (mostly CPC Blend, shipped from Novorossiysk in Russia) counts as Kazakh: 58.0 Mt in 2025. The UK imported 47.4 Mt of crude in 2025 (Norway (18.9 Mt), United States (13.1 Mt), Libya (4.5 Mt)) and 31.6 Mt of oil products (Netherlands (8.5 Mt), United States (4.0 Mt), Kuwait (3.6 Mt)), from all partners including the EU.
